Guerilla Speakerz Release “Holla EP” On Trouble & Bass
The music scene in Amsterdam is kind of a world of it’s own. I’m not a resident or an insider myself so I depend on the expertise of those who are. About a year ago the guys from Dirtcaps pointed Guerilla Speakerz out to me as producers to keep an eye on and also introduced us to eachother. I was pleased to find out that they fit the profile of a producer from the old days. Chain smoking, slightly odd characters who lock themselves up in a dark room for days going nuts over details most people don’t even hear or care about.
But about 9 months ago Red Bull also saw potential in Guerilla Speakerz. So they opened the doors to the Red Bull Studio in Amsterdam for them including full access to every piece of equipment they wanted to use to go nuts in a studio with actual lights and fresh air.
And that’s when the tracks on the Holla EP were created. All with their distinctive feeling and sound but also a typical vibe which makes you say; “Guerillaz did this one right?”
Now 9 months later after snowballing a lot of support from big boys in the scene like Baauer, Sinden, Drop The Lime, Rinse FM, BBC Radio 1Xtra it hits the stores with the Trouble and Bass imprint on it (T&B).
Instead of telling you why I go hard on all 3 tracks, I won’t. Check out all tracks in the Soundcloud player and start looking for your creditcard or any of the other accepted payment methods accepted by Beatport. You’re gonna want this.
