Showtek – Booyah!

I think I may just have a new favorite song on my hands.

Since “Get Loose,” the two Showtek brothers show us what they’ve been working on, very reminiscent to the Bingo Players’ “Rattle.” The lead synth creates a bouncy and breathing rhythm that can animate any audience. Its catchy and has constantly been getting stuck in my head, and Showtek has truly done it again, with some real Rasta flavor.

They’ve had a great past year, with releases like “Cannonball” and “Slow Down” that hit the charts and stayed in the top 10 on Beatport for an eternity. It’s almost become a tradition for a DJ to play “Cannonball” at every event they play, and you can hear everyone sing along to the one infamous line: “Show us what ya got when the m**********’ BEAT. DROPS.”

I’m extremely satisfied with Showtek’s new release and hope to hear more from them. I’m just waiting to see what new things they’re going to try in their next album and what they’ll be doing moving forward.
