Deniz Koyu – Ruby [January 20 – Axtone Records]

You know your track is off to a big start when you get your first play from Pete Tong on BBC Radio 1. It’s an honor, and one that Deniz Koyu definitely deserves. His latest track, “Ruby,” was just debuted by the British radio icon on the January 10 episode of his Essential Selection show. This is the latest we’ve heard from the Turk, since he collaborated with Danny Avila on a remix for Krewella‘s hit “Live For The Night”.

Since it’s a teaser from BBC Radio 1, it’s full of Pete Tong‘s watermarks, but that’s okay. You can hear Deniz Koyu‘s signature synth sounds right from the beginning on “Ruby”. It sounds similar to a crazy electric guitar, but that is something that his fans have grown to love. The melody from the break leads straight into the drop, and the track has been composed and mastered to perfection.
