BT, Fractal & JES – Letting Go (Shanahan Remix)

Shanahan must be spending a high percentage of his life in the studio, as the American has been constantly showcasing his talent on track after track. Earlier in the year, he created “RIFTN,” a main-room sounding tune which caught the support of both Sick Individuals and JoeySuki during their respective radioshows. Another piece that he can add to his illustrious trophy case is this official remix for BT. Shanahan was asked by BT himself to put his sound on “Letting Go”, a 140 BPM dubstep song released just last month on Armada Music. The remix brings the tempo down into the 128 BPM house range, but bears some essential similarities to be original version. The most obvious is the usage of the vocals, which are used strategically throughout the break and the drop alike. The second break even features some dubstep inspired drums. The drop is where the real variety and creativity kick in, as dubstep is switched out for hard, grinding electro synths, and the effect is quite powerful. This remix did not make it onto the official EP, however, it’s now available to fans as a free download. Enjoy!
