Sean Paul – Get Busy (Landis Bootleg)
One of America’s best up-and-coming producers is making a splash in the dance music scene by combining two genres that are not exactly close to home. Miami-based producer Landis has taken on a classic dancehall tune by Sean Paul, and turned it into a Melbourne house smash. The Caribbean vibe is alive and well throughout, but so is the sound from down under. The original lyrics from “Get Busy” are just sped up for the first section, and soon the chorus of the vocals turns straight into the buildup. The drop that follows is the definition of high-octane, with razor sharp synth leads and a bouncy bassline that will keep a crowd grooving well after this tune comes to an end. Landis is leaving off exactly where his previous bootleg, “One Gecko Deeper” left off, and we expect plenty more big tunes out of the American as 2014 keeps roaring on.
