New World Sound – How To Twerk [August 18 – LE7ELS]
When one needs to learn how to do something, most turn to the Internet or some sort of instruction manual. It’s usually easier to watch in order to master a topic, but Australian duo New World Sound wants to show you “How To Twerk” with their second single through Avicii‘s LE7ELS label. This tune has been floating around the Internet for months now, and has been attributed to a myriad of artists including Sandro Silva, Oliver Heldens, KSHMR, and most recently as a combination of all three with New World Sound. The possibilities were narrowed down when the Australians kept posting 15 second videos with snippets of the track on their Facebook fan page with the caption of “ID – How To Twerk”. Now that the dust has settled surrounding this mysterious track, it’s now clear to the entire dance music community that this is the latest solo offering from New World Sound, and is already widely popular amongst their fans. “How To Twerk” is set to be released on August 18.
One of the reasons that this track stands out as one of the more popular tunes of the end of the summer is it’s ability to span the gap between different genres. The top line synths bear a strong resemblance to those used in the surging future house genre, but the bassline makes it clear that New World Sound is staying true to their big room roots. This combination of sounds is what led many to believe that this track was a collaboration between a big room titan and a future house connoisseur. The breakdown is marked by periodic vocals that give the track it’s title, and a melody that turns out to be prevalent throughout the song. The drop itself is just plain awesome, mixing a future house bassline with pitched bass kicks and big room plucks to make the ultimate main room menace of a tune.
This widely-awaited tune from New World Sound will be available on August 18 through LE7ELS. Enjoy!
