Avicii Cancels Future Shows Indefinitely Due To Health Concerns
Often times, the world forgets that even celebrities are human. Of course, being human also entails dealing with the side effects that humanity can bring. That appears to be the case with Swedish superstar Avicii, who has canceled all of his upcoming shows and other promotional activities as a result of various health concerns. Billboard.com reports that the man responsible for tracks like “Levels” and “Wake Me Up” is still feeling the side effects of the surgeries he had earlier in the year to remove both his gallbladder and appendix. For now, Avicii will spend his time off at home in Stockholm, and there is no concrete date yet for his return to the stage. He will be missing his headlining set at the second edition of TomorrowWorld in Chattahoochee Hills, USA, and will also miss out on two residencies scheduled for Las Vegas. Rumors, however, have been swirling in connection to various pictures posted of the DJ which apparently show the side effects of a potential drug addiction. The Swede appears to have lost a lot of weight, and might be undergoing treatment alongside recovering from his surgeries further.
Official statement from At Night Management:
At Night Management has tabled all touring and promotional activities for Avicii, aka Tim Bergling, until further notice so that he can fully recuperate from lingering health issues related to surgeries that removed his gall bladder and appendix earlier this year. The international superstar, who is the #1 Most Influential Artist Under 25 according to Spotify, is taking a break at home in Stockholm so he can regain his strength and physical well-being before the release of a new album project next year.
