Landis & Crespo feat. Michael Warren – Thing Called Love [Cr2 Records]

After combing through the 2014 edition of the Cr2 Amsterdam compilation for this year’s ADE, this masterpiece shines brighter than the rest. The track comes from two familiar faces from Miami, Landis and Crespo. They are no strangers to each other, nor to Cr2 Records for that matter, since “Funked Up” and “Mojo” satisfy both of the aforementioned criteria. Their next effort together takes on an entirely different sound, as they return to Cr2 for “Thing Called Love”. Before resorting to any assumptions, this track is in no way, shape, or form a cheap rip-off of Above & Beyond. Vocalist Michael Warren provides a completely different theme with his vocals over a noticeably different future house sound. The producers use the perfect combination of subtle synth play and percussion throughout the break, and allow the action of the track to rise towards an epic future house climax. The vocals make cameo appearances throughout the drop, and the vibe continues to be as incredible as always throughout the track’s progression.
