There’s nothing quite like reaching into the musical archives, and redoing a track from 2004 to make it ready for the dance floor in 2014. Remember The Fray, and their track “How To Save A Life”? Well, expect to hear those vocals back in the dance music scene in the final month of 2014 and into 2015, since Project 46 has given the track new life. The track still has the same melancholy feel to it, but does have brand-new life thanks to the wonderful work that the Canadian duo put into this remix. Instead of the emotional piano that the original had, Project 46 uses a cycling pluck synth to accompany the vocals from The Fray. Another interesting thing to notice is the addition of acoustic guitar to the breakdown, which gives back to the original vibe of the track. As the chorus comes to a close, a beautiful melody takes centerstage, and creates an emotional drop that you just can’t miss.
