Hardwell Will Broadcast Miami Performance in VR and 360 Video
For the past few years, the biggest innovation in the festival industry was the ability to live stream event online to viewers all over the world. This has worked to great success for huge festivals like Ultra Music Festival, as well as Tomorrowland. Dutch DJ/producer Hardwell is now taking this a huge technology a step forward by announcing that his Hardwell Presents Revealed label night will be live streamed to the world in both virtual reality and 360° video.
The label will be able to pull this off in conjunction with sponsors VBR, LeaseWeb and Littlstar. The VBR company, based in Amsterdam, will be providing a state-of-the-art 360° camera that works by stitching together images with two high-quality fish-eye lenses. LeaseWeb will be assisting with the CDN network for the stream, and Littlstar will be hosting the stream as it is one of the first global networks dedicated to both virtual-reality and 360° video.
There are still some tickets available, so be sure to grab some ahead of the event taking place during the day March 16.
