DallasK – Powertrip [Revealed Recordings]

DallasK is a name that Revealed fans should be familiar with. After “Area51” with Hardwell, “Burn” with KSHMR, “Kaya” and “Retrograde,” its time for “Powertrip”.

The wait for this tune has been significant. Hardwell included the record during the live broadcast for Hardwell On Air No. 250. The track then went on to see support from both Hardwell and Martin Garrix during last weekend’s Lollapalooza festival in Chicago.

“Powertrip” follows a unique pattern that most DallasK tracks contain. The American loves unusual kick patterns, and they take centerstage. The breakdown rocks a very energetic feel, with a very strong combination of synths. It also feels like there is a chopped-up vocal in the mix, as well. You can hear the triplets starting in the buildup, as the drums stay consistent throughout. The build culminates with a vocal sample, and then the bass-heavy madness begins. The pounding triplet-style bassline joins with powerful electro synths to create a festival-ready vibe.
