Major Lazer feat. Justin Bieber & MØ – Cold Water (Remixes)
In July, Major Lazer, Justin Bieber and MØ dropped “Cold Water,” a summer hit that dominated music charts worldwide. Now, they have unveiled an impressive, six-track package of remixes.
It’s a pretty star-studded group of remixers, consisting of Afrojack, Boombox Cartel, Delirious & Alex K, King Henry & Jr Blender, Lost Frequencies and Ocular. These remixes join the already released remix done by rapper Gucci Mane.
Afrojack‘s remix is not what you’d typically expect. He ditches his typical Dutch house sound in favor of a rousing future bass rendition. Boombox Cartel bring an absolutely massive bassline in their remix, paired excellently with strong brass sounds. The Delirious & Alex K remix brings a stronger reggae vibe, while mostly repurposing different stems from the original mix. King Henry & Jr Blender slow it down with their remix, and employ instruments that take this remix out of the typical dance music comfort zone. Lost Frequencies goes for a chilled out vibe, with a mellow bassline joining forces with a soft guitar. Ocular rounds out the EP with an impressive remix, with light synths and a punchy bassline. Check them all out, and enjoy!
