Martin Garrix & Dua Lipa – Scared To Be Lonely [STMPD RCRDS]

Martin Garrix is back, this time with another huge single titled “Scared To Be Lonely” in collaboration with singer/songwriter Dua Lipa.

Mr. Garrix continues to move away from the big-room sound that brought him to fame. However, that does not mean his penchant for hit making has disappeared. That simply does not happen easily when your last big single goes platinum in nine countries.

The single starts with filtered, side-chained chords and epic vocals from Lipa. Not unlike “In The Name of Love,” “Scared To Be Lonely” features a slower drum build that drops into massive, gritty synths complimented by pitched vocal chops. The emotions of both vocals and instrumental unite with a beautiful energy that simply cannot be ignored.

As 2017 gets underway, I would imagine the Dutchman has much more music in store, so stay tuned.
