Salata – Magnetism EP [Get Physical]

Get Physical welcomes São Paulo’s very own Andre Salata to the family with his 3 tracker, the Magnetism EP; featuring two originals plus a dubspeeka mix. Formerly known as Elemental X, the Brazilian producer spends his time not only feeding the fire by pushing the limits, but also by spreading the fire; preaching the techno-gospel to all who wish to learn via user groups workshops and music teachings in Brazil.

On to the EP: Opening with the title track; ‘Magnetism‘, the EP hangs on a techno vibe, with driving synths and bubbling arpeggios. Underneath, a hefty beat moves the floor. The foundation of the track is gold, in terms of style and weight. Continuing the theme, ‘Symbols’ is a similar late night banger with the same peak time potential. Low rumbling kicks beating down the floor as dub chords slide around, all building up to something even bigger.

dubspeeka’s version of ‘Symbol’ takes the same road, giving off an almost ‘Berghain’ vibe; something not to be taken lightly. He keeps the percussion exciting and diverse, surprising with little bits here and there, atmospheric techno at its finest.
