Ki Creighton & Makanan – Trivial EP [elrow]

We’re already in March and for the first EP of the month we’re having one big return to elrow Music’s ranks. We’re talking about Britain’s Ki Creighton, who this time is joined by the Spanish producer Makanan (aka David Salgado). Together they have curated a three tracker EP that goes by the name of ‘Trivial EP’.

It opens up with the track naming it, ‘Trivial’, a sturdy track with a great and strong vocal line, fine percussion and a truly impressive groove, that will make dancers go crazy: the big banger of this record.

Following, we find ‘Those People’ one of those tracks that makes you go up in the air, with its ethereal vocal line that turns into a strong voice by the middle of the track, its space-like FX and darkish vibe, with a build-up that makes this a truly exotic and extraterrestrial kind of sound, great for any dancefloor.

Finally, closing this EP, we have ‘Freak On’, that opens up with metallic percussion and a very playful and carnivalesque vibe that builds up upon a simple yet effective vocal line, a great synth line, and a steady structure that breaks softly by the end of the track, fading away elegantly, deconstructing itself.
