Kill FM – Don’t Go Dark EP [June 23 – Oxygen]

Kill FM gets back to Oxygen with their Don’t Go Dark EP, set to be releases on June 23rd. Both tracks, “Don’t Go Dark” and “Giants” have very different sounds and feels to them. While one track has a melodic progressive house sound, the other has that minimal big room vibe, but Kill FM gives us an excellent taste of both on the EP.

The first track, “Don’t Go Dark” features vocalist Helena J over the trancelike melody and buildup. The start of the melody is interesting, it’s very quiet and the kicks are extremely prevalent, but the grinding sound builds up and can be heard blending with the melodic synths of the drop.

The second song, “Giants” is definitely one for the festivals. It has a building melody right up until it drops. And the drop is absolutely massive. It has that minimal big room sound but it feels much bigger. The sounds over the drop are very interesting, but they go together in a good way.
