Getting the party started on 24th May, the legendary Faithless (DJ set) – you’ll believe ‘god is a DJ’. But can you have 2ManyDJs? No, and yes, as Belgium’s Dewaeles Bros aka Soulwax take the stage. Previous SHEN guest, South Africa- born, Swiss-based deep house queen Nora En Pure, returns for two nights, as does Dimitri From Paris with his R&B/Soul infused sound. Also a ‘double’, the UK’s mighty minimal maestra Hannah Wantsgoes B2B with fellow globe-gigging Brit Paul Woolford, while Foals, who play math/indie/alt/art rock as a band, give their DJ set.Pete Tong and Roger Sanchez need only be named to say it all. Aussie duo Flight Facilities can be jokers, but are seriously good, while Scottish BBC Radio 1 presenter Arielle Free adorns the final Masquerade party on October 4th. With Claptone playing each week as well as guests like these, there’s no mystery about why The Masquerade is magical.
