Labyrinth Presents Anjunadeep Open Air on the Thames: Pre-Party Playlist

Following last summer’s momentous sold-out edition, Anjunadeep Open Air returns to the stunning Old Royal Naval College on Sunday, August 9. Performing in the stunning grounds of the twin-domed landmark, with the riverside offering the perfect backdrop as the sun sets over London will be Catching Flies, Dosem B2B HANA, Eli & Fur, Ezequiel Arias B2B Marsh, James Grant & Jody Wisternoff, Maty Owl & Romain Garcia.

Anjunadeep is a major London-based independent record label founded in 2005 by the electronic group Above & Beyond and their manager James Grant. It focuses on melodic house, deep house, and progressive electronic music, growing from a club-set side project into a global music community. Expect to hear the following on Sunday 9th August:

Catching Flies – Falling Apart: ‘Falling Apart’ is a signature Catching Flies track: intricate layers of Electronica, Deep House and Soul are infused into this song. The track showcases electronic textures and melodic synth overlays, resulting in a rich, complex and immersive soundscape.

Dosem – Levitize: Driven by a powerful bassline synonymous with Dosem’s signature sound, ‘Levitize’ pairs evolving synths with a melodic vocal sample to create a hypnotic track made for the dance floor.

MEDUZA, Eli & Fur – Pegasus – ‘Pegasus’ has been tried and tested across some of the world’s most prestigious summer, it blends MEDUZA’s driving tech-house and mainstream progressive drive with Eli & Fur’s trademark dark, melodic atmosphere.

HANA – Cahethel – ‘Cathethel’ delves into HANA’s darker, progressive side with a driving bassline and euphoric breakdown whilst also incorporating Features a driving bassline, active synth patterns spiralling upward, and reverb-drenched, airy vocal textures.

Ezequiel Arias – Psychodelia: ‘Psychodelia’ opens with atmospheric layers that establish a vivid sonic landscape, then gradually introduces percussive elements and a forward-moving bassline to sustain momentum. The production balances expansive pads and shimmering leads with tight rhythmic elements, making the track suitable for both late-night listening and a live DJ set.

Above & Beyond – Sun In Your Eyes (Marsh Remix): This rework transforms the original cinematic classic into a darker, progressive journey built for the dancefloor. Marsh conceived the bassline groove and melody loop while sitting in the sun in Ibiza and during a layover en route to Dubai.

Feiertag, Jody Wisternoff & James Grant – Nomad: Melodic and progressive house combining organic instrumentation with polished electronic, beautifully combining Feiertag’s organic instrumentation with the polished, combined electronic style characteristics of James and Jody.

Maty Owl – Green & Blue: Maty has rapidly become one of Anjunadeep Explorations’ most exciting prospects and ‘Green & Blue’ is characterized by percussive heat and delicate melodic flickers with a tectonic low-end comparable to Ben Böhmer or Yotto.

Romain Garcia – Tokyo Mafia: Trained as a visual artist at L’Initiative in Paris and later as an art professor, ‘Tokyo Mafia’ is a sonic hallucination that depicts nights when music blasted across the sand and reality began to warp, and created a trance-like blur.
