Labyrinth Presents Dom Dolla on the Thames – Old Royal Naval College: The DJ Set Playlist

Independent music promoter Labyrinth Events curate electronic dance music and live music experiences with a unique selling point of snapping-up exceptional venues, merging sound, light, and art together to create a an unreal experience for attendees. They pride themselves on booking emerging talents and world-renown headliners, and for the second year running they have secured another massive summer residency at the historic Old Royal Naval College in Greenwich with a 9,999 daily capacity.

Featuring as part of the Labyrinth Presents – Old Royal Naval College summer residency was Dom Dolla, a Grammy-nominated Australian electronic music producer and DJ who has become one of the defining faces of dance music, and he performed at the venue on Saturday August 1st, with a supporting cast feat. SG Lewis, Jordan Brando and Carla Martinez, with ample tunes being played on the day, here were some of the standout ones across the DJ sets:

MK, Dom Dolla – Rhyme Dust (Extended): The track is centered around an infectious hip-hop vocal sample from Q-Tip’s 1999 classic track ‘Breathe and Stop’. The song also hit #1 on the Beatport when released too.

Ugo Banchi – Dance With Ibiza (Original Mix): Known for its bouncy, driving bass groove overlaid with sharp, rhythmic synth plucks and hypnotic vocal loops designed for peak-time dancefloors.

Ewan McVicar – Scottish Midgey (Original Mix): A high-energy tech-house tune which Ewan McVicar drew inspiration from via the 2011 classic techno record ‘Spanish Fly’ by 2000 & One inside the legendary Slam Tent at Scotland’s T in the Park.

Dom Dolla, Clementine Douglas – Miracle Maker (Extended Mix): Merges a heavy, driving bassline and classic rave synth stabs with an euphoric, soulful vocal performance.

Secondcity – I Wanna Feel (Club Mix): heavily built around an interpolation of Toni Braxton’s 1996 R&B classic ‘You’re Makin’ Me High’, the ‘Club Mix’ provides a beefier bassline foundation, and an extended percussive drop tailored for live dancefloors.

Fast Eddie, Andre Zimmer – Yo Yo Get Funky (Andre Zimmer Extended Remix): Andre Zimmer’s take is a modern tech-house re-imagining of the classic hip-house record by Chicago legend ‘Fast’ Eddie Smith and brings a contemporary dancefloor bounce to an iconic piece of electronic music history.

Bob Sinclar – I Feel for You (Erick Morillo Edit): A legendary French touch and vocal house anthem by French DJ Bob Sinclar, edited by the late American-Colombian house music pioneer Erick Morillo. The edit highlights a hypnotic, looping vocal chant: ‘Feel for you baby. Feel for you baby. I can feel it. Can you feel it.’

Tiga, Dom Dolla – Don’t Worry Baby (Extended): Fuses Tiga’s distinctively cool, robotic vocal delivery with Dom Dolla’s driving, stadium-sized basslines and rolling percussion arrangements.

Duss, Linska – Criminal (Original Mix): ‘Criminal’ is a dark, uncompromising techno and tech-house track by UK rising star Linska and Polish production duo Duss. Engineered for peak-time dancefloors, pairing hypnotic, stuttered vocal loops with heavy rolling percussion and a powerful low-end bass drive.
