Labyrinth Presents Anjunadeep Open Air on the Thames: The DJ Set Playlist
Following last summer’s momentous sold-out edition, Anjunadeep Open Air returned to the stunning Old Royal Naval College on Sunday, August 9. Performing in the stunning grounds of the twin-domed landmark, with the riverside offering the perfect backdrop as the sun sets over London was Catching Flies, Dosem B2B HANA, Eli & Fur, Ezequiel Arias B2B Marsh, James Grant & Jody Wisternoff, Maty Owl & Romain Garcia. Here are the standout tunes from DJ sets across the day:
Dusky, Rromarin – Next Life feat. Rromarin (Extended Mix): Reflecting on the idea of missed opportunities and unfulfilled potential, symbolized by the concept of a ‘next life.’ It conveys a sense of longing for a chance to be more and achieve more, suggesting a desire for growth and transformation beyond the limitations of the current existence.
Jody Wisternoff, James Grant, Kiskadee, Ren Ocean – Friendly Fire (Extended Mix): First introduced on the Anjunadeep 16 compilation and released as a single in July 2026. It blends warm, progressive melodic synths with driving percussion grooves, anchored by Ren Ocean’s emotional vocal performance.
deadmau5 – Not Exactly (Rinzen Remix): Preserves the iconic synth progression and melodic DNA of deadmau5’s original 2007 track while introducing driving drums, deep cinematic basslines, and melodic house & techno arrangements.
Romain Garcia – Digital Diva (Extended Mix): Showcases Romain Garcia’s signature composition style, blending an emotional, gripping melancholic piano line with heavy analogue synth structures and driving progressive percussion.
Dosem – Levitize (Extended Mix): The production pairs a powerful, driving bassline (synonymous with Dosem’s club-focused style) with evolving melodic synths and a hypnotic vocal sample.
Hana, Durante – Away Home (Extended Mix): Drawing heavily from the duo’s shared love of classic trance, it pairs uplifting, airy vocals from HANA with bright melodic arpeggios, a driving low-end groove, and a powerful club pacing.
Animal Picnic, 19:26 – XX (Original Mix): A dark, driving Melodic Techno track, the arrangement balances a heavy, pulsing club low-end with rolling percussion and hypnotic, cinematic synth layers.
Because of Art – Circle of Light (Dosem Remix): Dosem takes the original’s euphoric, late-night festival energy and stretches it into a hypnotic, progressive house journey. The production layers shimmering melodic tension and rolling grooves beneath Antony Szmierek’s poignant, floating vocal performance.
Eli & Fur – Strange (Extended Mix): The track delves into the confusing labyrinth of love, exploring the feeling of being magnetically pulled toward something you do not fully understand, balancing the urge to run away with the desire to get closer.
Madonna – Ray of Light (Dosem Remix) [Unreleased]: The original serves as a high-energy fusion of Techno, Trance, Eurodance, and Disco. The production layers an oscillating synth sequence with distorted electric guitar riffs and showcases Madonna’s expansive, newly trained vocal range. The song explores themes of freedom, spiritual awakening, and human smallness within a vast universe.
