CHRIS STASSY, Marz Fay – U Know Me [CSS]
Few artists in contemporary house music have built a connection and style as recognisable as Chris Stussy. Over the past decade, the Dutch favourite has grown from a respected figure within the underground into one of the scene’s most in-demand names, shaping a sound that has become unquestionably his own and building a truly global community around it. Through celebrated releases, unforgettable performances spanning Coachella to Alexandra Palace, and a relentless commitment to his craft, his name has become synonymous with a distinct approach to house music, and one that has resonated across dancefloors worldwide.
Now, from 19th August, the Up The Stuss founder will continue his journey as CHRIS STASSY, opening the next chapter of his artist project. While the name changes, the foundations remain the same. The music, the mindset, the energy and the connection with fans that have defined Chris’ career continue forward, carrying the vision and passion that have shaped the project from the beginning. One letter, same mind. Same music, same vibe.
“New name, same me. The music, the energy, the connection with the people in the room – none of that changes. Over the past 16 years, this has grown into so much more than a name. It’s the shows, the music, and most importantly, the community that has grown around it. That’s what I’m most grateful for, and that’s all still here. The first track under my new name says it all: ‘U know me’. And what better way to start this new chapter than with N.A.M.E. – two free parties for the people who have been part of the journey. See you in Amsterdam and Birmingham. Thank ‘U’ for everything, ‘A’ new chapter in my life.” – CHRIS STASSY.
The first release under the CHRIS STASSY name arrives on 28th August with ‘U know me’ featuring Marz Fay. Landing the same day as his Creamfields return, the record represents the first statement from this next phase of the project – with the title offering a subtle nod to the idea that while the name evolves, the connection between Chris and his audience remains the same. Continuing the evolution of the project’s sound and approach, the release is accompanied by a special run of N.A.M.E. events – Chris’ ongoing free party concept celebrating the community around his music and the support that has shaped the journey so far. The Up The Stuss boss will take N.A.M.E. to Birmingham on 22nd August before returning home to Amsterdam on 27th August, the day before the release.
The first performances under the CHRIS STASSY name will take place across a run of international dates, including the debut at Pukkelpop, followed by Ibiza appearances at Circoloco, Music On, and Metamorfosi, plus Audio Obscura Festival, ARC Festival, Deep Tropics, Club Space, and more. October will see the first USS events under the CHRIS STASSY name, with his own event brand returning to Manchester for a sold-out double show weekend on 9th and 10th October.
