Fideles – Closer [Impressum]

Label owners Fideles return to their own Impressum imprint with ‘Closer,’ a two-track EP showcasing the Italian duo’s ability to balance melodic depth with a more driving club edge. The title track, ‘Closer,’ centres around uplifting vocals that lead the track, with a groovy foundation giving it an effortless flow, while a thick, chunky bassline brings a darker edge.

Strings, bright synths, and melodic layers add depth, creating an immersive feel. The result is a record that takes you on a journey, gradually drawing you deeper into the track as it unfolds. ‘Closer (Late Night Mix)’ takes the original in a more driving direction, with gritty bass, sharp drums, and raw-sounding synths pushing the track forward. The energy builds throughout before opening into a big drop, giving the mix a tougher underground feel and making it well suited to peak-time moments and packed dancefloors.

Formed in 2010 by Daniele Aprile and Mario Roberti, Fideles have spent over a decade shaping a mature and contemporary sound that blends the melodic and epic. Their extensive catalogue includes releases on Afterlife, Tomorrowland, Embassy One, and their own Impressum imprint, alongside collaborations with Vintage Culture, Agents of Time, and Riva Starr.
