Creamfields 2027 – New Stage Announced: Runway 2.0
As anticipation builds for Creamfields’ landmark 30-year celebrations, the UK’s biggest dance music festival has unveiled Runway 2.0, an ambitious new stage concept set to make its debut at Creamfields 2027.
Bringing together two of the festival’s most iconic stage concepts, Runway 2.0 will combine the defining features of Runway and HALO to create an extraordinary new arena, marking the next evolution in Creamfields’ pioneering approach to stage production. First introduced in 2022, Runway quickly established itself as a firm fan favourite, delivering an electrifying, immersive experience that became synonymous with the festival. Its evolution into HALO in 2025 pushed the boundaries of stage production even further, introducing a spectacular 45-metre circular arena featuring 360-degree and overhead video, lighting and sound.
Now, following overwhelming demand for the return of Runway, Creamfields is taking the concept to an entirely new level, reimagining the much-loved stage for a monumental new chapter in the festival’s history. Designed by award-winning creative studio Lucid Creates, the team behind the original Runway and HALO concepts, Runway 2.0 will unite the defining features of both structures in a bold new design. Having collaborated with Creamfields since 2022, they continue to push the boundaries of outdoor festival stage design, with Runway 2.0 set to be its most ambitious evolution yet.
With a capacity of 20,000, the new stage spans an impressive footprint measuring 60m long and 40m wide. Its reconfigured arena layout combines HALO’s expansive circular design with Runway’s iconic structure, extending out above the crowd. At its centre, three vast 15-metre overhead diamond structures, lined with LED screens will tower overhead, creating a spectacular visual centrepiece.
An enhanced design will introduce a more complex overhead LED display, with sweeping visuals, dynamic lighting and immersive video content flowing seamlessly from the stage across the towering diamond structures. With the DJ positioned at the heart of the experience, the ambitious new configuration will transform the arena into a constantly evolving visual spectacle, delivering an immersive production that envelops the audiences from every angle.
The result promises to be one of the most ambitious stage developments in Creamfields’ history, bringing together the scale, energy and atmosphere of Runway with the groundbreaking production and 360-degree experience of HALO, reimagined on an entirely new scale.
