Matt Nash – Rivers (I’ll Take Care of You) [Armada Trice]

After a highly successful year in 2015, Matt Nash starts off the new year exactly where he left off. His next release lands on Armada Trice, and is titled “Rivers (I’ll Take Care of You)”. Matt Nash is able to use this track to show off his prowess for production, as his last single, “Louder” with AN21, was a thoroughbred electro tune. This next one is an extreme change of pace as the primary genre changes to be progressive house. The breakdown is crafted out of a repeated pluck sequence, which is soon joined by powerful female vocals. The vocalist does an incredible job of transferring emotion into her sound, and that provides a clear inspiration for the upcoming drop. That uplifting atmosphere translates directly to the feel of the drop, as a lively chord progression links up perfectly with a pulsating baseline to create a formidable progressive house smash to start 2016. If this is a sign of things to come, this year will be monumental for Matt Nash.
