Mosimann feat. Uhre – The Gifted One
At No. 93 on the 2015 DJ Mag Top 100 list, Mosimann is a name that is gaining traction. His reputation will only improve with productions like “The Gifted One”.
This tune features Uhre, a Danish singer/songwriter. Both producer and vocalist started their careers at a young age, but you can’t tell from the high-quality worked on this production.
Mosimann cites Daft Punk as one of his influences, and you can tell that from the instrumental. That same kind of funky styling that was all over Random Access Memories is clear as day on “The Gifted One”. Mosimann gives the instrumental a very strong sound, but does not overpower Uhre‘s vocals. In fact, focusing on the vocals is inevitable since Uhre‘s voice is fantastic. Mosimann uses very funky synth work on the drop, and skillfully chops up the vocals into an ear-pleasing lead. “The Gifted One” has a very high production value, and really indicates how talented both Mosimann and Uhre are.
