J Paul Getto & Alex Herrera – Everything Changes (Inc. Kevin McKay Remix) [Glasgow Underground]

Another slice of disco magic for you today, from the man in Boston, J Paul Getto, and this time collaborating with fellow Fogbank artist Alex Herrera. His first outing on Glasgow Underground was his huge remix on my track “What U Want” (which topped the Traxsource charts back in May). You might also know him for his remixes for the likes of Nas (w/ Felix Da Housecat), Roy Davis Jr. and Doug Willis. “Everything Changes” is a brilliant, DJ-friendly cut with a killer groove and huge horn-fuelled drops. If you like Superlover or Purple Disco Machine this is one for you to check. For Kevin McKay’s take, he’s grabbed the vocal and given it a tough bassline re-rub. I’ve been listening to a lot of early 90s house on labels like Strictly, Emotive, Hi Bias and Strobe recently and it’s got me in the mood for this. And for everyone who finds these big talking vocals a bit too much, J Paul Getto has smashed out a tasty dub mix, which will be available from November 25th.
