Nicky Romero & Deniz Koyu ft. Alexander Tidebrink – Destiny [Protocol Recordings]

After months of waiting, Nicky Romero and Deniz Koyu have finally released their long-awaited track “Destiny” featuring the vocal assistance of Alexander Tidebrink.

These two producers are no strangers to each other, as Nicky Romero and Deniz Koyu previously released “Paradise” together with Walk Off The Earth. “Destiny” debuted as an instrumental layered with the vocals of Avicii‘s anthem “Without You” to close out his second weekend set at Tomorrowland in 2019. The version we hear today first emerged from the Avicii Tribute Concert to honor the late Tim Bergling at Friends Arena in Stockholm in late December.

The tune starts off mellow, featuring Tidebrink’s vocals brightly filling the track. The harmonies build slowly, showing off the prowess of the vocalist while the instrumental slowly swells towards the bridge. The chorus strikes with high emotion, uniting the airy background with the power of Tidebrink’s lyrics. Nicky Romero and Deniz Koyu then bring a gorgeous melody into the equation, and use that as the final piece to the musical masterpiece that is “Destiny”.
