Ango Tamarin – What Was That? EP [Truesoul]

A fresh techno project from a new production talent, Truesoul delivers the debut EP from Ango Tamarin. The artist first connected with Adam Beyer via a link from fellow Ibiza resident Chris Spero of Dense & Pika. His work offers a triumvirate of rolling bubblers, heavy on functionality. Expertly-rendered title track ‘What Was That‘ steps forward as the pacesetter, rupturing on impact after a supercharged build-up cuts the track loose, releasing its propulsive core. ‘Cat Man Do‘ possesses an infectious energy, built around a smack-dab groove, thumping bottom end and mechanical stabs. Asserting that he knows how to invigorte a dancefloor, the EP closes with ‘Catch The Donkey‘, an effortlessly bouncy, bustling track that impresses with intricacy.
