Laidback Luke & Steff da Campo Announce “We Found Love” Remix Contest

Laidback Luke, Steff da Campo and Mixmash Records are giving producers the chance to find love in an unconventional way. The team is launching Mixmash Dating, a tool they plan to use to match producers together to craft remixes to “We Found Love”.

The label plans to use this system to match different producers on a variety of factors in order to find new matches for collaborations. Think of it as DJ/producer speed dating. The label is doing this because it is similar to how the original track was crafted:

“For years I’ve had the vocal but I couldn’t nail the drop on the track. I made various versions of it, but it was never there so to say. I sent the sketch of the track, without any drops to Steff and he nailed the drop! After that, he sent the track back to me and I added my extra tweaks on it, did the mastering and there was ‘We Found Love’”

The label has opened the Mixmash Dating system for producers to input details on years of experience, style and production software. The system will be open until May 4, and then the Mixmash team will match producers together, provide them with stems and send them on their way to remix creation. The remixes will be due May 24, and the winner will earn a release on Mixmash.
