Mark has lived and breathed dance music his entire life, now carving his mark on the scene with a dark take on electronic house, daring to push this style back into the limelight. This is his debut on DOORN, hot on the heels of the huge ‘Subsonic Bass’ which hit No1 in Beatport’s psy-trance charts. His sound is being championed by Blasterjaxx (who picked him as their Talent of the Week), Vini Vici, Morten, Christoph.. The list goes on.
‘The Realm’ is eery, moody hard hitter that carries Mark’s signature high impact, bass orientated drops. Featuring trance-like techno stabs, this fresh UK DJ/Producer showcases his intrinsic ability to abandon genres to create an original sound.
‘Funnily enough I find the tracks that come together quickly rather than those you spend ages on tend to be the winners. This track just sort of fell together and only had a few tests on different sound systems to know it sounded solid’ Mark says. ‘I tend to make a mix of multiple genres and combine them to create new sounds; ‘The Realm’ has dark acid vibes in the drop, some cinematic sounds, and the breakdown goes pretty trancey to give a feeling of flying or elation – basically a combo of everything I love!’
