Lee Foss & Ferreck Dawn ft. Alex Mills – The Void [Repopulate Mars]
Repopulate Mars honcho Lee Foss teams up with Ferreck Dawn and Alex Mills for ‘The Void’, featuring a remix from Marco Faraone this January.
Having previously collaborated with Foss on 2017’s ‘Haunted’, Mills yet again turns in a stellar vocal performance. Her soaring vocals slide perfectly into the infectious and dynamic backdrop crafted by Foss and Dawn, featuring twinkling keys and saxophone flourishes atop an addictive bassline across both the ‘Edit’ and ‘Extended Mix’.
Ferreck Dawn, with releases on Defected, Toolroom, and Relief under his belt, and Alex Mills, whose previous collaborators include Basement Jaxx, Hot Since 82, and Sonny Fodera, join Foss’ Repopulate Mars family for another vocal house smash from the LA based imprint.
UNCAGE founder Marco Faraone makes his first appearance on the label with his remix, adding a fresh bassline and beefed up drums to the mixture which injects a distinctly bouncy energy into the original, providing a welcome addition to the overall package.
