Streatham’s star-in-waiting Cat Burns recruits Dutch electronic duo Shermanology to rework fan favourite, ‘Free’ in time for her performance at London Pride this weekend.  

Bringing their remarkable energy, Shermanology’s remix of ‘Free’ exhibits their dynamic blend of soulful tech-house. The gospel-laced original, co-written by Jimmy Napes and produced by Aston Rudi, explores the complexities Cat experienced when coming out to her family. The song garnered viral status on TikTok at the end of last year and is the catalyst for the singer/songwriter’s fast-rising trajectory. 

Curaçao-born, Netherlands-based brother-sister duo Shermanology have spent the last five years refining their dynamic blend of soul-infused tech house. Heavily inspired by their Caribbean and Dutch heritage, Shermanology have rubbed shoulders with global dance music’s A-list, releasing productions on revered labels such as Hot Creations and Defected. The brother-sister duo have garnered international acclaim on their 2021 hit, ‘Boyz N Da Club’, and have since collaborated with FISHER and Eats Everything.
