Chris Lorenzo x COBRAH – Mami [Late Checkout]

Chris Lorenzo launches his new label Late Checkout with one of the most impactful records of his career. A collaboration with the celebrated Swedish electro artist COBRAH, Mami is a ferocious house cut with an earworm vocal that’s already captured the imagination of dancefloors around the globe.

Chris Lorenzo’s rise to the upper echelons of the house and bass scene is one of electronic music’s more notable success stories. Widely acknowledged for pioneering a sound that has become increasingly prominent throughout the UK, US and many other parts of the world, Lorenzo’s flawless production and high-octane DJ sets have earned him a fanatical and ever-growing global following.

Recent releases include California Dreamin – Beatport No.1 and currently sitting on 50 million streams and counting – his remix of J balvin & Skrillex – In Da Getto, which was the most played remix of 2021 according to 1001 Tracklists and his collaboration with Chris Lake, Chromatic, under their Anti Up alias, another Beatport No.1 from earlier this year.

2022 has also seen Lorenzo playing the main stage at EDC Vegas where he went b2b with AC Slater as well as making his debut at Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza and Rock in Rio.  It’s been during this sets that Lorenzo has been road-testing new single Mami, on which he teamed up with one of electronic music’s most exciting and innovative  artists.

COBRAH is the self-made, Stockholm-based electro artist, songwriter and producer paving a new way in the alternative music scene. Early in her career she founded the label GAGBALL and released the first single IDFKA which received a Grammy nomination for her directional work on the music video.

The strong start followed up with the debut EP ICON which has already passed over 4 million collective streams. Three months later she released the single TEA on Rinse FM, while her 2021 self-titled EP and the anthemic single GOOD PUSS further cemented her status as a future-facing popstar to watch.  The EP has now been streamed over 13 million times.  Most recently she released BRAND NEW BITCH: another incendiary statement of intent from the inimitable artist and futuristic cyber-pop banger that is already soundtracking dancefloors worldwide.
